Life goes on
Life on the home front has been good. Went camping over memorial day it was again great to get away and not have to stress about everyday events. The fishing was slow but it was nice spending time with some of the family. We also got out of the rain for a few days. Rained at home but not Scolfield. Cant wait to go to Oregon with some of the family for a family reunion and to spend time on the coast and do a little fishing.

Life
Back in January my body decided that it was going to try and pass kidney stones. The only problem is they were to big for me to pass without surgical intervention. It was the longest week of my life felt like three or four. I actually ended up loosing track of the days because I was so sick. It all started at about 2:30AM one morning. I was the only one at home in bed sound asleep and get woken suddenly by a sharp pain in my right side and urge to use the restroom. Only problem is I could not go. I came and looked up what the pain could be and it kind of subsided and so I went back to bed. Then the pain hit again this time 20 times worse then the first time. I decided that I would go to work the next morning and then get ahold of the Doctor to see if I could get in. By 5:30AM I was in so much pain that I was throwing up. So I decided I could not wait any longer. So I got in the car and drove myself to the emergency room at American Fork Hospital where they took me straight back had me try to go to the rest room and got me something for the nausea and pain. They then did a CT Scan and came in and said I was trying to pass kidney stones that were to large for my body to pass. They called the Urologist who told me to call and get an appointment as soon as I got home. I went the next day. Then the next day he took me into same day surgery where he used shockwave to break the stone up. Got it broke u[p sent me on my way. By the next day which was friday I was in so much pain that I could not eat or take meds. This went on all week end. I got to the point that if I would have died I woud not have cared. They ended up doing another procedure the following tuesday after I ended up in the Hospital on Monday. Spent 2 nights there. But the second procedure took care of the stone. They went in was able to get it in a cage. Anyway I decided at this time I needed to make some life style changes. This has been very fruatrating to me. I have cut soda pop and dugar pretty much out of my diet and cut down what I eat in half if not more also increased my water intake. Everyone told me I would take off weight with these changes. I have hardly lost anything and it is frustrating. I have exercised some but not tons.
Then today my dad woke up with a pain in his side and back thought it was a blood clot he has problems with them. He went to the hospital they have ran tests and cant figure out what it is. While he was there he started fevering. So they are keeping him over night to observe and see if they can figure what is going on. The only thing that sucks about this is that they were supposed to be leaving on Tuesday to go and spend time with my younger brother in Nebraska. Were taking my niece since she has not had a grandkid trip with grandma and grandpa since she was born. I am sure they will still make it down it may just be post poned by a bit which makes me sad because everyone was so excited after all they don't make it to Nebraska as often as they should.

Baptism/Family
It was great to see Ty and his family and spend some time with them. Even though it was just a short time. I am greatful for my sister in law Brindee that prepared a great talk on the holyghost and came up with the ideas that she did to help Braxton understand the role of the holy ghost and when he will be able to feel the holy ghost. I am also grateful to his Aunt Tonya that prepared and gave a great talk on Baptism and the story that she shared about the holy ghost that Braxton still talks about. The talks helped him to see the importance of the decision that he made to be baptized.
I love this time of year it is great to be able to get together as family and share our love for one another. I also love the decorations and being able to drive around and look at Christmas lights. I love remembering the importance of this time of year which is the Savior and all that he has done for us. I love to be able to purchase gifts for family and those in need so that they can feel the love that I have for them and also in hopes that the gifts will remind them of the greatest gift that has been given to us which is our Savior. I am so grateful for the Savior and the many blessings that he has given to me and my family. With him all things are possible and I see great things happen daily that is made possible by the Savior.

Deer Hunt and November update
Ok, I have been home from the deer hunt for almost a month next weekend. I was able to kill this 2 point. The hunt was harder than it has been in years past. There did not seem to be as many deer as years past. We seen a few dews and fawns each day. However opening morning we did see a nice but by no means monster 3 or 4 point but we were not able to get a shot off before it disappeared and we were not able to see it after it disappeared. We did try to locate it again to see if we could get a shot but it was a no go. The deer out smarted us. The hunt was very warm and for this reason I believe the Deer just had not moved into where we hunted. They were were there was snow from the storm that came the weekend before the hunt and down in the hay fields by the main highway. I got my deer where there was still snow. It was about 20 miles away from where we normally hunt. My mom got a spike in that same area. We is my dad and me.
We had a good Halloween. Wendys kids got far more candy then they needed but they had fun. We went and tricker treated main street in American Fork and then went to our annual trunk or treat. Then to family. They all looked cute. I did not think to get pictures. Braxton was a Doctor, Bryson a Fireman, Brakell a Candy Corn Princess, and Shaylee was a princess.
November has been a crazy month. I can not believe that is is almost over and time to get ready for the Holidays. I put the lights on the house this last weekend. I can't wait to put up the village that I put up every year. I am trying to decide if I want to do it this weekend or after Thanksgiving.
Work has been going good. So far the merge that we done seems to be going well and I for some reason have not felt as stressed the last little bit.
We have had several Birthdays in November and Braxton can not wait to get baptized on the 6 of December. The whole family will be together for the baptism and we are all excited about this since it does not happen to often. He is extremely excited that Ty will be able to baptize him.

Update
Monday, December 3, 2007
Dad went Buffalo hunting today. He was able to get a nice buffalo. Here is a picture of the buffalo. He is excited. They figure it weighed 2400 pounds with everything. It is 14 years old and has been able to avoid getting weighed at the Antelope Island buffalo round up for the last 8 years and so they did not have an updated weight on it. I will have to post christmas decoration pictures as soon as I take them for you to be able to see.
